Meet the team

The Mother & Daughter dream team own & run Colmworth.

Julie, primarily a swimming teacher, (for 53 years), has been involved with running the club since it started in 1991 . From 2012, she became more involved in the Golf Course and shaped it into the friendly club it is today.

She loves her horse Roo and her dogs Bob & Clive.

Although a qualified Osteopath, Tilly is super creative and loves working on design work for social media and projects around Colmworth - like the Jetty and Clubhouse canopy.

She can usually be found walking the dogs, riding horses or painting something in the clubhouse!

Joy started working with the family from the age of 16 as a swimming instructor at MillCott with Julie. More recently, Joy has taken on the role of clubhouse manager and is doing fabulous job. Joy is your day to day contact for all Colmworth matters and will help you when organising events, membership enquiries and golf societies. She'll happily talk dirty (dancing) with you.

Laura is part of the furniture here at Colmworth, she has been with us since 2003 and is a fantastic chef and caring member of the team. She bakes the best Victoria sponges in Britain and her scotch eggs have gained 5 star tripadvisor reviews! And has a new passion for sourdough since lockdown 1!

Jas has been part of the team here at Colmworth since 2011 and she has fully embraced everything that is Colmworth. A truly friendly and kind member of the team who bakes some incredible cakes and treats for us all to enjoy. She's kept on her toes by her adorable Labrador Archie and is a little obsessed with the magical world of Harry Potter!

Claire is new to the team and to the area - having "escaped to the countryside" earlier this year - yes, you really can see her on TV!

Claire gave up city life and a flat out career in fashion for the quieter life in rural North Bedfordshire with her husband and 3 dogs.

Jackie retired from Hertfordshire Police in 2018, after an almost 30 year career. She has lived in Sandy on and off most of her life and loves being surrounded by the beautiful countryside.

In her spare time, she fosters with a local animal charity. As well as the foster animals, she currently has three dogs and two cats of her own. “I’m a failed fosterer and a sucker for a sad story, as I have ended up keeping a lot of the animals which have come through my door !”

Meet out newest member of the team, Sophie. She spends her time horseriding, painting pets for her small pet portrait business or hanging out with her dog, cats and chickens. She loves aircraft and is starting out on a private pilots license between volunteering at her local vintage aircraft collection. Just be warned if you bring up Top Gun!

Elena moved to the UK 11 years ago from Moscow where she was teaching Russian language & literature. Now living in Wilden with her English husband and 2 spaniels.

Izzy is part of the weekend team and she’s got some exciting plans afoot….

“In the summer of 2024, I will be participating in an expedition to Borneo (an island in South-East Asia). Izzy will be helping by planting trees and volunteering at two wildlife sanctuaries; one will be to help orphaned orangutans and the other to help sun bears who have lost their homes due to the deforestation. She will also be working with the communities across Borneo to lay the foundations for things like hospitals, schools and many homes for families who do not have a roof over their heads. This will be an amazing opportunity to make a real impactful difference in the world!”

Linda moved to Colmworth 16 years ago, after spending many years travelling back and forth to Bolnhurst looking after her horses and helping her husband on the farm.

After working in HR Services and Change Management for over 30 years, Londa now enjoys being a home based florist and working at the Golf Club with a great team of people. Her passion has always been her animals, especially her horses and dogs whom she spends as much time as she can with.

One of the quieter members of the team, but by golly he works his socks off!

Another local "lad" - helping to make Colmworth great.

Adam joined the team from Royston Golf Course in 2022. He is a keen golfer and is excited to become an uncle very soon!

Dan first joined us as one of our young members - a keen golfer he chose to spend his gap year as a greenkeeper here and has proven to be a valued member of our little team. We will miss him when he starts his new career at the end of the summer.

Awaiting text

Brian alias Brains, is our Mr Fix it man! Just give him the challenge and he can usually sort things out. Where would we have been without him the last few years? He can usually be heard laughing or grumbling, he was taught by the best (Simon).

Bob, Clive & Sid are Julie's boys and then Teilo (Tink) & Harry are Tilly's. All four will be spotted around the course collecting golf balls or in the office keeping everyone entertained! Feel free to say hello! They are very friendly!
