Café, Events & Hospitality Business

We are looking for a Full-Time Duty Manager to join our growing café and events business. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to work across our café, bar and events operation while helping to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff alike.
Weekend working is an essential part of the role, with a mixture of daytime shifts and occasional evening work for events and functions.
About the Role
As Duty Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of front-of-house operations while supporting the wider business. You'll lead by example, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high presentation standards, and helping to motivate and develop junior team members.
We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and the confidence to support and guide colleagues when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times
- Maintain high standards of presentation throughout all front-of-house areas
- Take a proactive approach to customer satisfaction and resolving issues
- Support, motivate and assist junior team members throughout each shift
- Provide clear instruction and guidance to staff where required
- Help create a positive, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and colleagues
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and hygiene in both front and back-of-house areas
- Support the kitchen and bar teams during busy periods
- Assist with event setup, delivery and customer care
- Carry out opening and closing procedures as required
- Ensure health, safety and food hygiene standards are consistently maintained
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail or customer-facing management
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A proactive, responsible and reliable approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- The ability to motivate, support and lead by example
- Confidence in giving direction and guidance to team members when required
- A flexible attitude and willingness to support different areas of the business
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Experience in a supervisory or management role
- Personal Licence holder (or willingness to obtain one)
- An interest in sustainability and supporting environmentally responsible business practices
- An interest in golf and the leisure industry (although this is by no means essential)

Salary: £12.71-£13.50ph dependant on experience.
