Role Overview
We are looking for a practical, reliable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and improvement of our facilities. This is a varied, hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop skills across general maintenance, grounds work and light construction projects, with potential progression into machinery maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out day-to-day general maintenance tasks across the site
Assist with inspection, repair, and upkeep of buildings and facilities
Support garden and landscaping maintenance, including mowing, planting and general upkeep
Provide handyman support for minor repairs and improvements (e.g. painting, fixing fixtures, basic carpentry)
Assist with small building and renovation projects as required
Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and organised
Support the maintenance team with basic machinery upkeep and servicing (training provided, with scope to develop further skills for the right candidate)
Occasionally assist the greenkeeping team with course maintenance duties
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Previous experience in maintenance, gardening, construction or similar
Basic knowledge of tools, machinery or equipment
Interest in developing technical or mechanical skills
Working Pattern
5 days per week
Weekend work required on a rota basis
Flexibility to assist with seasonal or project-based workloads
