Our on site Osteopath

Having grown up amongst the family business of running a golf course, Tilly has taken an active interest in the number of injuries golf seems to cause. This lead her to produce a paper on Golfing Injuries with studies into preventing and treating such injuries.

Tilly is also working alongside our team of professionals at Colmworth Golf Club. Together they are working to lower handicaps and produce healthy, “pain-free” golfers.

Osteopaths are trained to recognise and treat many causes of pain. Osteopathy is an established system of diagnosis and manual treatment.

Pilates

I like to refer a number of my patients for Pilates classes. This means they build up their core strength properly in order to prevent further injury, particularly in patients with ‘weak backs’. I have found this to be more effective than setting patients a list of exercises to complete at home on their own and ultimately leads to less, recurrent trips to me, your osteopath.

The focus of Pilates is on strengthening the “powerhouse” (abs, buttocks, and inner thighs) to execute the exercises which are designed to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and improve posture. Pilates will lengthen and strengthen your muscles with-out the bulk. The method involves concentration and the coordination of movement and breath, thereby helping to balance mind and body.

Hannah is an excellent tutor and will customize her class to each of your needs.

Classes are running on Monday evenings at 6:30 and 7:30pm. There are still spaces left  and anyone is welcome, so for more details Contact Tilly on 01234 378181 or email: tilly.osteopath@yahoo.co.uk
