Our Lady president was diagnosed with this dreadful disease and is doing her bit to raise awareness of this condition.

I do hope you will be able to come along to at least one of the events she is organising:

•   An Afternoon Cream Tea on Wednesday 7^th March at 2.30pm.

•     A Cheese & Wine evening on Tuesday 27^th March at 7.30pm.

Both will be held here at Colmworth Golf Club

Tickets are £6 each which includes a donation to the Charity “Target Ovarian Cancer”.  Please come along to one of these sessions, it could save a life, maybe yours.

I know you must all be chomping on the bit to get out to play but even though we did get a good thaw yesterday the course is still unplayable at the moment. Hopefully it will continue to thaw today and if we get the rain that has been forecast tonight that will help as well to get us up and going again tomorrow. Keep an eye on this posts to make double sure though. i would hate you to turn up and we’re still closed!

Steve’s Golf School provide lessons with a difference.

A great way to get fit and ready for the golf season.

It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or just wanting to improve.

Everyone can gain some benefit.

We are all very friendly and enjoy a nice sociable coffee after the lesson.

What to expect:

 Steve’s warm up – great for burning off those extra calories

Theme of the week: It could be anything from chipping, pitching, bunker practise, putting , fairway woods and of course the long drive.

Skills tests: Steve’s lessons are far from boring, we always finish with a skills test on whatever theme we have been working on during the lesson. It gets quite competitive and a fun kind of way.

We do have a good following of members joining in these lessons but please don’t let this put you off, as  you really  don’t have to be a member to come along.

Price is £5 for members & £7.50 for non members paid weekly so you can come along as and when you have the time.

I attend  these lessons so I might see you there!

Come along for a game every Saturday and get a a Free lunch This golf deal is open to both members and visitors playing 18 holes on the main course.  Lunch will be available between 12.00 – 2pm.

Saturday Club T&C’s

• Free lunch after your game. It could be a simple buffet, a bacon roll, Cheesy chips, Hot Dog’s, Sizzling Steak Baguette depending on the bookings on the day.

Who is included:

• Members of our club and their guests.
• Pay & players doing 18 holes on the main course that havepre-booked booked online through our website or direct in the clubhouse by the Friday before.

Sorry but we do have a few exclusions – but they can always join in if  booked through our website next  time

• Players from reciprocal golf clubs.
• Players that have booked via “teeofftimes.co.uk” or “onlineteetimes”.
• Societies.
• Groupon bookings.

Conditions:

• Bookings for pay & play must book by the Friday before at the latest – for catering purposes.
• Only 1 x 4 ball permitted to book in under 1 name through the clubhouse.
• Food will be served between 12.00 – 2pm.

Christmas Opening Times

Julie, Simon, David, Tilly and staff would like to wish all our members and regular pay and players a very Merry Christmas and to let you all know the opening times for the clubhouse during the festive season.

Christmas Eve: Normal times. Please join us for Christmas nibbles and silly games on the wii from 1.30pm

Christmas day: CLOSED

Boxing day (Monday): Bookings online only , greenfees set at £25 for 18  holes. the clubhouse will be open for a limited time subject to bookings.
